Cost of the Cockpit Grate...

In Response To: JB's grate (Bill Kaiser)

I paid my carpenter $600 for his time on the grate including the purchase of the materials. It was much more than I wanted to spend (can you spell B.o.a.t.?) but the result is self evident by the photos. I do not have any problems at all with a wet cockpit, so this was not a determining factor with my desire for the grate...it was simply an emotional desire to have what I consider to be a "salty, and traditional" look. Best, JB
