I think it might be a good idea to incorporate a folding Bimini, like Gary Hyde has on Hydeaway 2 along with some snaps/zippers or velcro side panels and canvas extensions to fully enclose the cockpit area. Two in one solution for those that need sun and rain protection and a bug screened enclosure for those nights at anchor. If you're going to have a folding bimini anyway, might as well make it multi-use. Taking zippered or snap canvas panels out of a bag is certainly easier than mounting a complete separate cockpit enclosure.!
