She will by no means be a finely tuned racing boat by then and putting her against a well tuned, race rigged boat would not be a good comparison. I hope there will be at least one other "cruising rigged" M17 there. When she was last in the water (in my brother's care), she was guite a bit faster than the couple of keel/cb M17s we encountered. With the heavy cast iron bulb putting the ballast so much lower, she could carry more sail for a given wind and tended to point higher and sail flatter than the cb version. I should have a better idea about attending by the first of the year. It depends on how the refit goes and the whims of the "Admiral". Ron M17 #14 Griselda
