Mobjack Bay Cruise

Report: outside forum guidelines

Three M15s had a really nice 4 day cruise in the Southern part of the Chesapeake Bay in September. Other than some racing fleets in the distance we only saw two other boats out on the water the whole time (excludes a couple of small power boats out fishing). Winds were really great at 15 - 25 for two days and then back to 10 - 15 with the last day all the way down to 2 - 4 kts. Nary a drop of rain, dolpins swiming next to the boats, pelicans dive bombing 20 yards off the Beam AHHHHH yes

The sail boat is Seas the Day heading back from the Chesapeake Bay itself. We were going to cross the Bay to the eastern shore but the winds were 20+, waves running 4 ft high and were hard on the wind. We turned around and had a 24 mile beam reach to the anchorage and did hull speed the whole way
