Thoughts about halyards and main sheet

I'm thinking of replacing my jib and main halyard, and main sheet. They are a bit old and frayed. I replaced them on my Vagabond once, and used New England Sta-set for the halyards. Seemed to work fine. What would you recommend for material and thickness?
