Hi Guys,

I’ve been reading posts here for the last 7+ months. There’s certainly a lot of great and helpful info for a beginner Monty owner. I actually don’t have my boat yet. Never seen one! I ordered a new Monty 15 from Bob Eeg at the end of April and have yet to receive it. I can’t wait! My M-15 will have a black gel-coat hull with Hyde “Egyptian cotton color” sails and Ruddercaft rudder.

For a first question, can anyone give me advice on a motor? Since I don’t have a motor yet, I’m wondering about going electric? That Torqeedo 1003S is really interesting. Anyone got an opinion on it? Would it have the range and power needed? I will mostly be daysailing.

Cheers, and thanks,

Gary
