Hello Monty Message board followers. I'm a potter sailor, for years, and big fan of small boats in general. I'd sure like to own a monty now that I'm sailing Monterey bay (Home port is to windward!). I'm doing a bit of research on the M-17, and have looked at a couple for sale. There are so few used ones on the market. (A new one is out of the question unless I hit the lottery) As I search the Hull #'s of boats over the years I see the current Production #'s are in the high 600's or low 700's. (I see a 808 on the registry, but think it's a typo and must be 708) Also I see nearly no boats registered in the 90's. Which is a drag because that would be a prime age boat ready for a second owner. Not many registered in the 80's either. Lots of late 70's. Can anyone on the board provide a little info on Monty production over the years? Maybe it'd tell me if my search is hopeless. Thx, Mitch
