So, I've had my boat put up for the winter for just under a month now, and here in SE PA, each weekend the weather has been superlative ever since. I've been out in my kayak, but it's a poor substitute, especially after seeing 4 other sailboats out on the lake yesterday. Each of 'em was figuring it would the their final sail of the season.
Since I haven't been sailing these lovely weekends, my thoughts turn to dreams of other boats. And despite the efforts of Sailing and Sail magazines, I've actually been trying to dream of boats I might be able to afford, as opposed to every boat they feature being gawdawful expensive.
I like little boats, and boats that can tow behind my Forester with 2000lb capacity. And, I like the idea of not having to come home at night. Monty 15s seem like they would fit the bill, and they look prettier than a West Wight Potter 15. (Sorry Potterers...)
The question is, do any of you guys really sleep in your M15? For a weekend? For longer? Just you, or do you squeeze a partner in as well? What do you do about food and cooking?
For the record, every time Dave Scobie posts another pic of his M15, I like the look of 'em more...
