I couldn’t agree more. When I first discovered the Montgomery line of boats I was totally taken by their lines and sailing capabilities. Bob helped me get in touch with a Monty owner in my neck of the woods and from there it was history. I wanted to Monty more than anything else! Bob is a true customer service type of guy. If you want it and it is doable, it will happen. If it is questionable he will let you know the cons of doing it. Never, in all the times that I contacted Bob did he ever make me feel like I was intruding on him or his work. I started out with a 26’ sail boat as my first boat. The dealership I purchased the boat from made me feel like a second-class citizen because I wasn’t spending over $100K for a boat from them. That should have been my first clue that it was going to be a long road to delivery. I purchased my next boat, a 31 footer from a totally different dealer, whom I had to drive over 6 hours to see. This individual treated all his customers the same…..like they were his customers and they were putting food on his table and paying his rent. I eventually sold the 31 footer and went boatless for a while. After the initial withdrawal symptoms I started looking again, but this time for a boat that I could single-hand and was sea worthy. That’s when I found the Montgomery and the rest is history. I would highly encourage anyone who is looking for a small sailboat with a big heart, to seriously look at the Montgomery line. Bang for the buck they can’t be beat!
