Wow! What a weekend at the “wrinkle” boat Ran-Tan. The “wrinkle” boat fleet had a great time socializing and racing. Motu iti’s crew really got tired of looking at the transoms of the Sage 17s. Goshawk always crossed the start line before Motu iti and sometimes Air Born crossed ahead too but it didn’t matter, in a short time we were looking at both their transoms. Two days of racing and we were never able to get a view of their bows during the races. No question about it, the Sage 17 is a fast boat. We knew that the Cruiser Challenge in Monterey was a one-time stroke of luck. The stars were lined up just right!That tall rig with racing sails was showing us it's transom all day,too.
