Posted By: Capt-Dave Date: 1/19/12 9:46p.m. Report: outside forum guidelines Galveston Bay has a lot of bayous that feed into the bay. I would love to do a little exploring on some of these thin waters. However a lot of times it would mean passing under a low bridge. Any experience with lowering the mast while underway? I have a boom crutch but it uses the same gudgeons as my rudder (stock M-15 rudder). The mast on my M-15 is so light i'm not concerned with managing the lowering. I guess I'm wondering how to configure a boom crutch. Any Monty sailers out there living upstream of a bridge? Capt-Dave
