Stan "Paintboy" picked up his new Montgomery 17 today. He will assemble a new rig and bring the boat to the Lake Havasu Pocket Cruisers Convention next week.
This is another e model. Carbon, epoxy, vinylester, foam, pure lead ballast.
Light weight and strong. I had a lot of fun building this boat.
We call Stan 'Paintboy' for a reason. He always has paint on his face. So he named the boat PAINTBOY.
Opps..what happened to the keel...?....The transome has the normal boarding/swim ladder, the 3 stainless Gudgeons and a custom fixed motor mount that I built.
The keel telescopes out of a custom built trunk I installed inside the cabin. That bulb is pure lead..
Stan inspects the Keel. It fits perfectly on the trailer keel bunk.
Outside ready to leave. Stan will be doing the rigging at home before Havasu.
See, he has PAINT on his face...told ya....
