Main Traveler on M17

Report: outside forum guidelines

Greetings, We're in the process of negotiating the purchase of an M17. We've never even seen an M17, but we want one. I'm curious, has anyone moved the main traveler to the stern railing? The current location basically prohibits installation of a bimini. It doesn't seem feasable to move it to the cabin top. I'm also curious if anyone has installed a boom vang, or is it necessary? Early thanks for any comments/suggestions...John
