great day of sailing

Report: outside forum guidelines

Had a great afternoon on my m-15 Monday. I used the "storm jib" (which is an old genoa I have from a dinghy I used to own), and that kept us going well enough. GPS says we averaged 3.9 mph and maxed at 6.6 mph, never had to dump the main. That should be about 3.4 knots and 5.7 knots if my calculator worked right. Attached is a picture which also shows my $20 cockpit cushions (a swim float cut in half), my "tiller tamer" which is a bungy cord wrapped around the tiller, and one of two of my most important accessories - the pirate flags. There were two of us on the boat, but the crew must have been in the cabin looking for grog.
