So, just so I get it: are you planning on screwing the bolt from the cabin into the watery side of the keel trunk until it hits the keel and then puts a little pressure onto the keel by having the bolt push the keel against the opposite side of the keel trunk? If so, will that be enough to keep the board down in a knockdown? If I understand your proposal, and I may not get it, aren't you trying to hold a 180-200 pound keel in place with only a 1/4" surface of the flat of the bolt to create the friction to hold it?

Another way to do, but it would be tougher because of access, would be to put the T- bolt all the way the keel trunk from one cabin side to the other, immediately behind the trailing edge of the keel, so the keel could not fall back into the trunk... or be cranked up.
