Eric, The wind was light and consistant, we were still in the channel headed out to sea. The snap took place after one of the big sight seeing boats went by and the typical wake was tossing us back and forth, that's when I heard the pop of the fiberglass crack. I suppose if you remove your tabernacle and check the bolts for a pasty substance residue on them, you know if there has been leakage, that's the indicator that I had to open the top of the boat and not just repair the glass.
