I just bought a 1982 Newport 16. Sailing has always been a dream of mine and I an excited about this big step. I have some questions about rigging. The step plate and the mast step hinge have a place in the fore and aft part of the hardware to accomodate a pin to fasten the mast to the step plate. The device only came with one pin. I am wondering if I should have 2, and shouldn't both pins be used to hold up the mast? Or not?? I have found some limited instructions on line for rigging and using, could you give me any links or places where I could find more info regarding rigging, etc. Also, if I need any replacement parts for the boat are there any placed that would have them for this boat? I would appreciate any responses and info. Thanks
