main sheet tangles

In Response To: Transom and mainsheet arrangements (dick)

having the tangled main sheet on the rudder was a for sure pain in the transom. I moved the outboard block on the boom about a foot inward tward the mast so it is vertical when the boom is centered. I reinforced the boom by welding a 3/16" plate,bent to fit the radious of the boom tube and then drilled and tapped holes to mount a suitable pad eye to mount the double block. This cured the tangles and I still have the leverage.
