Neptune kick-up rudder

I have a rudder off a Hunter 22 that I will have to modify a little for use on my N-24. I think it is a worthy addition since i own the daggerboard model. This boat has been on the hard and on the trailer for many years and I am just now getting ready to launch it. Anyone had any problems with leaks, especially around the centerboard trunk? I just launched an old Santana 21 and it leaked really bad around the keel housing.

Also, I have read all the reviews and etc. I can get on this boat. I would like to do a ICW trip from middle Texas coast to either Port Isabel or, possibly, New Orleans. Anyone done any serious cruising on these boats? I have an old (but almost new) 1982 Johnson Sailmaster 8 long shaft that I plan on using. The shoal draft makes this boat real appealing to me as I sold my old Hunter 22. The Neptune looks to be much better constructed. I got a screamin' deal on this boat, though it has taken me a while to do some additions to her. I just hope she don't leak like the Santana did!
