Mine is a stock boat. I really can't complain as I bought it 'dirt cheap' and replaced my Hunter 22 with it. Mine has an upper and lower shroud, but I suppose that's plenty. Why would you install an outer shroud? Also, what's the deal with the starboard side chainplate and the 'bar' that comes across to the hull? Seems like a strange arrangement.

I bought this boat a little over a year ago and am just now getting her ready to launch. Have the Johnson Sailmaster 8 off my Hunter and I guess I'll just use tiller steering for now.

Pensacola must be really nice! I was there about 40 years ago! Barely remember it.....

Regarding the kick up rudder....do you think it should protrude below the keel or would just even with it suffice?
