water in boat

I own a 1986 Gloucester 16 I seem to be getting to much water bilge. After about 4 hours of sailing and i haul the boat out of the water i drain about 3 gallons of water from the drain plug. The only place i can think it could be coming in is around the swing keel or the retracking cable. Anybody got any thoughts on this problem.
