Breaking in the outboard

I planned a long day trip to fairport OH, from cleveland on sunday. Only one of my friends was brave enough to go with me. The plan was, try to sail as fast as possible to fairport harbor. Eat at Pickle Bill's (this good seafood restaurant with a floating dock bar)... Ended up motoring up the northeast coast of ohio for 30 miles only to find out that our destination restaurant was out of electricity and he gas dock didn't have power, thus no food, beer or gas! Half a 5 gallon tank to get back, and no wind, at 4pm on a Sunday. hmmm...

Luckly we scooted into Mentor harbor after calling the number on the map and were able to get gas and even some hamburgers.

Jumped back in the boat and motored the whole way home. Not what i was hoping for the first long trip on my neptune 24. Thankfully, we made it back by 10:30pm. If I didn't have work or obligations, I would have kept going through the night as the winds became faborable. And even though we motored most of the way it was still a good time. Thanks Nissan!
