Newport17 front vent/hatch size/placement/construction

I want to add a venting hatch to my Newport 17 like the ones I have seenin pictures of others. I assume that the factory offered them as an option, but I could be wrong. Anyway, could someone tell me the size and specific location? Also, any construction details would be great - not just the hatch itself but also whether or not the deck was reinforced due to the hole cut in it. etc.
