The hatch is mounted on the front of the doghouse and is made of black plastic and tinted acrylic, probably original. The vent is a standard 4" deck plate mount soft plastic cowl vent. I will measure tommorow in the daylight.

The fellow who gave me the boat said he found the pulpit in a box of stuff and will bring it to me soon. The traveler was stripped from the boat along with most of the aluminum for scrap.

When the original owner lived on it he was down and out and either he or the bums who moved on after stripped the boat for scrap and tried to scuttle it, but with all that foam it just sat low in the water and drifted up under a bridge.

The city wanted it gone so my friend put an outboard on it, took it to the ramp, hauled it and kept it several years on the hard. When the keel was stolen from his shop he gave the boat to me along with a lightning mast and various mismatched parts. I built a keel, rudder, spreaders, rigging, and a trailer. Now I have a usable boat that only takes a 10 minutes from trailer to sailing.
