I was thinking about that kind of hatch on the foredeck, which I figure is used as a vent (I assume you can probably pop it part way open). You can see it best about the 3rd or 4th picture down.
I wish a had the bow pulpit. I really like the way the mast is stored on that boat. You could motor around with them there. I want to use my boat as somewhat general purpose, maybe doing some overnight fishing and whatnot. With the keel up and no rudder, you can tiller steer with a small motor reasonably well. I have been doing a fair amount of beaching (I take my kids and they like to explore islands and other remote spots on the lake) and sometimes forget to put the keel down when I leav or have to have it up due to depth for a long ways from shore. I am pleasantly surprised how well it sails with the keel up. It definitely side slips without the keel, but it will still heel.
