Thanks for the quick reply. Unlike the sketches of the NPT 16 and 17, the surprise does not have a wench mounted on the trunk. I have not turned the boat over yet so, is the centerboard mounted on a pivot bolt? I have a single block attached at the top of the centerboard. There is double block at the base of the mast foot (but that could be part of a vang). Logically the line runs back to an eye strap. I there a double block inside the trunk? Frank
