Jim, Thanks, Your directions are beginning to make sense. I have the pulleys in place as described. I will need to replace (a threaded bolt) with a clevis pin and a shackle. The shackle will hold the single pulley and give me a hole to tie the line. Then I follow your directions through the pulleys and back to the jam cleat. Pulling the line brings the blocks together and lifts the back of the keel into the trunk. Right? Frank
