I am looking into roller furling for the jib because i am solo most of the time. And i think it would have come in handy that day. I agree a second reef point would be nice. before next year i want to also rig a jiffy reefing system. Then i think i will gain more confidence when the weather looks threatening.
It's good to know that most owners think the neptune 24 can take some nasty weather conditions. I still get nervous about heeling so much and the boat being so light and shoal draft. Monday i went out again and tried to push myself a little further and i almost touched the toerail to the water! Should i be nervous about heeling that far on this boat?
It's almost time to take the boat out of the water but i'm getting in some exciting fall weather sailing!
