Am about to purchase a G 16 and trailer. I have a few questions:
What should a 1986 boat and trailer with no motor sell for?
Are there specific things I should look for which might be problem areas in the G 16?
Is there anyway to block or hold the swing keel in the down position while sailing?
When trailering the boat, should the keel be let down to rest on the trailer or cranked into the extreme upward position in the keel trunk?
In heavy wind, using just one sail, does the boat go to windward better with the just the jib OR the reefed main?
Will an electric motor with 27 pounds of thrust be sufficient to move the G 16 in most conditions?
I'll appreciate any information that G 16 owners might provide and look forward to being an active member in this forum.
