Your porta-potty rotation thoughts are along the same lines I have in mind. My divider wall (the one just to the portside of the potty) is already down for the other reconstruction. I plan on rotating the porta potty not quite 90 degrees to give the most footroom when using it.... and your feet would not extend into the cabin. I plan to use a curtain for the privicy needs. (although anybody on a 24 foot sailboat is lucky to get just some "head turning" privicy)
The Neptune 24 had a V berth door as an option on new boats. I would like to see pictures of a N24 with that feature to get some ideas. Anybody out there have one ???
My porta potty is a SaniPotty brand, 5.5 gallon holding tank capacity, and I have it plumbed for pumpout through the deck. We spend alot of time in Canada and having a deck plumbed unit is the law there.
Last year my wife and I spent a total of 8 weeks living on the boat with most of that being anchored at nights, so having a rotated porta-potty to enable more convenient night time use (we sleep in the V berth) is going to be nice. We don't like to sleep in the main cabin as that has to be set up for sleeping at night, then returned to daytime living in the morning. V berth is plenty long for our needs. I'm 6ft, and quite comfortable in the V berth.
