My head is now rotated
It is actually on a lazy susan platform, so it can face forward and also swivel 90 degrees to starboard. When the vee berth filler is in place, we use the head rotated to the side,i.e., starboard; when the filler is not used, the head faces forward.
I also slabbed on two 1/2 by 6 inch solid oak "compression posts" on either side of the existing 1/2 inch plywood wall, immediately below the mast, which had weakened. Basically, I made the wall 1 inch thicker, using solid oak not the crappy plywood which is no good for a compression load needs.
I would be happy to take and post pictures if somebody can tell me how to do it in plain language. I have a digital camera.
