Hatch Replacement

The orginal hatch was molded fiberglass with the gel coat removed to allow filtered light into the forward cabin. You are correct in that it is a curved surface with many different curves to deal with.

My suggestion is to finf another Neptune 24 and make a mold of that hatch. With that you shoudl be able to lay up another hatch out of layers of fiverglass mat. It would not be easy but it would fit the best. To replace the mast with an off the shelf hatch would require you to cut the lip out of the boat. That would make for a very big hatch!

Depending on where you are am sure we can help you find a boat near by to make a copy.
