...your motivation to move to a power unit. The prior owner of my boat bowed to the same pressure from his wife. I selected my Artic because I wanted a small motorsailer with a pilothouse...not exceptionaly proficient at either sail or power, but okay at both. Where I live, when the wind is blowing, the boat will move at hull speed, and when it isn't, I motor. Either way, I can move at 7-8 knots... about the same as your average trawler. Is the Vagabond built on a Sharpie hull design? In your experience, what is the max speed under power? You live up in a beautiful area, I bet you are really enjoying it up there.
