In Response To: general handling of flat bottom 20's (openboater, Highlander 20)

don't deflect spray well.

On the other hand, as sailboats this makes them very stable, and since they are heavy for their size you do have some mass working for you in a seaway.

Remember the workboat roots for this hull design. Flat bottom and hard chine gives room and stability with cheap/fast construction.
