I have an '87 N20 that I rehabbed a couple years ago 1. I pressure washed the hull. It was pretty faded so I used Penetrol followed by wax. The results a not as glossy as with Poliglow; more of a low luster that looks good on a traditional looking boat. The process is super simple and if you don't like the results, use Poliglow. I do repeat waxing a couple times a year. 2. Ditto on the bottom paint; you don't need it on a trailer boat 3. My boat does not have lifelines. Most N20s did not. 4. I took the ports out of the boat since I was repainting. The gaskets were cracked and dried out. Removing them required scraping and prying and using heat. I bought new gasket material from www.hamiltonmarine.com which worked fine. 5. I had new rudder gudgeons made by a local welder. They are much beefier and cost all of $25. I had to install an access plate on the aft cockpit bulkhead to get at the fasteners. 6. My mizzen was pretty worn out. Doug Fowler in Ithaca made a very nice replacement. I here Stuart Hopkins makes nice stuff too and will even give you a quote by email. www.dabblersails.cam Nice little boat, good luck, Rick
