Yes, the liner is built "loose". My Kodiak liner was also loose. Both aft at the quarterberths and in the V-berth. It is glued down at the floor. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
It may have been designed that way for expansion/flexing. Or maybe not (just more labor to do something about it).
I decided to glass mine to the hull in an attempt to add even more strength. I was already in there and had everything torn out, so it was "easy".
