If you take the pieces off, or can mask them, spray them with clear lacquer. For finishing wood I used water clear, but since bronze is already yellow regular clear works fine.

If you know a furniture refinisher, actually a touch-up guy, they will have a can of high quality clear lacquer they might sell. I don't know the current cost but it might be $5-6 per can. Charlie Jones still does touch-up work I think so he might know the current cost. Although regular store bought will work fine.

If you can put the pieces you are going to seal out in the sun so that they are warm you will get a better coat and not risk a "blush" where it turns opaque. This can happen in the summer on the Gulf when the humidity is high.
