A note about the mast wiring. If you really want to wire in the anchor light to a switch.

The mast wiring comes down above the V-berth headliner and then makes its way aft to the base of the pilothouse forward windows.

If you are able to remove the lower trim piece right below the pilothouse forward windows, you will see a large gap between the aft edge of the v-berth headliner and the forward deck area. This gap is where the wiring goes on its way to the panel. You will have access to the deck connector's wiring right there.

At that point, you could tie a new, 3-conductor wire to the deck connector end, and pull it through to the interior where you exposed the existing wire run at the pilothouse windows. Mine was partially glued in by the liner adhesive, but I think it could be done fairly easily. The 3 conductors could carry one common ground and one postive wire each for the steaming and anchor light. Obviously, you would need a new 3-pin connector.

Just a thought, Ray

Good job on the wiring!!! I would bet that the intermittent RF also contributed -- Ray Henry, Nimble Kodiak Yawl, "Seaweed", NC -- 2/20/07 5:08a.m.
