Mizzen twist?

Hello, friends: in sailing my new Nimble 24, in stronger winds, I notice that the mizzen mast has a tendency to twist: I noticed this when I started hearing a sound and thought it was coming from the tiller. It was: the metal bar to which the tiller attaches was rubbing against one of the cleats on the lower side of the mizzen mast, due to the mizzen mast having twisted or turned on its axis.

Solution(???): drilling a small hole in one of the wooden supports that hold the mizzen mast in place, and into the metal of the mizzen mast, into which some sort of pin could be inserted and also removed, when desired. This would, I think, keep the mizzen mast from turning in place.

Any similar experience? Any better solutions?

Thanks!
