jim, calm yourself. i've no interest in making a crossing in my little nimble... and no quality of sail would convince me otherwise. after hearing the rumors, i was only curious if it's ever been done... and there are plenty of high quality used and near new sails available, particularly for small sailboats... at some point i may sail over to the bahamas in the nimble but primarily it's for weekend and holiday fun off cape cod and the carolinas. thanks for your concern, i suppose, but no worries. i'm not so naive. still, if you hear any anecdotal stories about nimble crossings... i'd be interested to hear. scott, boston
