autopilot

I have an Arctic. I have a Raymarine ST2000 autopilot. The current mounting is installed on the stern and attaches to the rudder bracket.

Under sail it does not do very well, tends to pop off the pin. Motoring is better but cannot tolerate choppy water.

Has anybody mounted the autopilot so that it moves the tiller? (typical of most autopilot installations)
