Plumbing problems

I have a nimble trawler with a "Skipper" head. I put in a repair kit a few months ago. at first I thought I had a condensation problem. But as time passed I resigned myself to admitt that there was a leak. I would find about two ounces of water after 24 hours that leaked from the bottom base plate of the head. Never more than this. This water would settle on the fiberglass floor. This plate is solid ??? copper brass ??? I don't know, but it is solid. Recently I had to go away for two weeks. When I came back and started to routinely wipe up my two ounces of water, I noticed that the water also had a clear solid in it, like crystals.

I remember from chemistry that Asid + Base = Salt and water. I surely had salt and water, but I don't know what was going on. I think that the amount of salt was far more than could evaporate from salt water in two weeks.

Anyone have any idea what is going on???

Thanks

Ted
