N24 rudder

Hi Michael, We had a Nimble 24 several boats ago. Fuzzy memory, but it might have been a 1992 vessel. On "Chatelaine" the rudder extension was triangular in shape, not really very big. My hindsight suggests that its function might have been to move the centre of lateral resistance of the rudder further aft. I think that would contribute to more lee helm. Maybe, make sure that you are not looking for a spade-rudder extension that does not exist in your boat. ~~~ __/)~~~ Rod McNabb
