I agree with Norm. You must mean the area below the inspection plate just aft of the centerboard trunk. And in addition to what Gene said about the mizzen mast holder, I suggest you also check out the lip around the starboard cockpit storage locker. Mine is teak (the lip that is), and while in the process of converting my "20" to a trawler, I discovered it had pulled away from the fiberglass in several places, so I resealed it with epoxie, but any good marine quality sealant would have done the trick.
If you know of any more "20's" for sale in the $950.00 range please let me know. I thought I had the all time bargin when I only paid $6500.00 for mine which also included the trailer as well as a 9'West Marine fiberglass dinghy. Along with the dinghy I have sold the sails, motor, the wenches, two of the large ports, and othe misc. items for a total of $1850.00. Still have the masts, boom and standing rigging which I have listed for sale in the classifieds.
