In Response To: tiller bracket (shenanigans)

I had this happen twice to mine. The first time I had it welded and also had a gusset plate welded across the top the give it more strength. The second time one side broke so before getting it welded again I took some 3/4" Stainless threaded rod with me and had them insert it in the tubing and welding it in so it is solid. It was quit a job getting it in place because of the angle but it seems to have done the job.

I had mine repaired by a GOOD stainless welder. You may think about putting -- norm ex-nimble new orleans -- 10/6/07 6:24p.m.
