Dave, the N20 toerail forms an integral

In Response To: Toe Rail (David Hollenback)

part of the hull/deck joint. The hull has a horizontal "flange" which mates to the deck. The deck is sandwiched between the aluminum toe rail and the hull flange and is bolted with 1/4" bolts on 6-inch centers with liberal amounts of 3M 5200. I've read that this is the same construction as on the ocean-crossing Nimble 30. In my boat, when you lie in one of the quarter berths you are looking straight up at the bolts. Perhaps you have some covering on yours? If this doesn't make any sense, I'll grab some photos when I go visit Lazy Susan this weekend. Paul
