sailing the catboat I got Phil Bolger's 100 Small Boat Rigs from the library.

What a wealth of good information. As he explains the pluses and minus of 100 different rigs, most in a one page narration and one page drawing, even dense people like me learn how all the different factors in a sail plan drive a boat.

His comments on ketchs and yawls really got me to be thinking about how I used the Nimble rig (inefficiently!). And yes, a rudder modification would probably do wonders for the boats handling.

But now I want a 15' junk rigged cat ketch
