The fellow you are talking about could be me since I am in the final stages of converting my Nimble 20 into a pocket-trawler , and it wasn't a can opener it was a saws-all, a skill saw, and a saber saw along with about a thousand saw blades, and a lot of sweat . I will be posting pictures soon, but in the mean time here are some of Waltzing Matilda's vitals:
The cabin is 6' wide x 7' 6" long, and has 6'3" of centerline head room.
The v-birth has been lengthened 1'. I've installed a 25 gallon gas tank under the sole of the cockpit, will be putting a 20 gallon fresh water tank under the v-birth, and have already put in the duct work for an air-conditioning unit, which if I do decide to buy one will reside under the sink in the galley.
I will either power her with a 20 HP 4 cycle Yamaha, or a 20 HP 4 cycle Tohatsu. Depends on which I can get a the best price. Either way, I am going to have to move the rear bulkhead of the motor-well back a few inches.
Good Lord willing, and the creeks don't rise, I will be launching Matilda in the Black Water River in Milton, FL about the first of May, and will be posting lots of pictures of the great event. I am currently living in Mobile, but will be moving to Pensacola this coming week-end, and will be keeping Tillie in Milton because my son and his family live there. Jim
