Congratulations on your new messy old boat. You shouldn't feel in a huge rush to get cabin cushions. The way the storage compartments are below the bunks, it is handy not to have cushions in the way---for a while anyway. A few Type IV flotation cushions should do for a while, and they will be handy out in the cockpit later. Interior cushions are not that hard to sew up--especially if you are willing to forgo piping at the edges. Do use a nice dense foam. There is a spray adhesive that practically welds foam together--if you need to do a bit of piecing.
Finding a used mainsail may seem difficult, but this forum is probably the best place to put out feelers. Sailrite.com offers a kit, but that might not be much less expensive than a new sail at some places.
We'ed love to see a picture of your Nimble just as she "came down from the trees." Good luck with the project.
