Just wondering how you came up with 20 HP for the engine size. Will it go up on plane?

On my boat, I tried a Honda 5, then a Honda 8, then added a higher thrust prop. To tell the truth, I noticed very little difference between any of them--certainly not in the speed department. I stuck with the 8 HP because it was a twin cylinder and had less vibration. One thing amused me: at times I was able to get 20 MPG with that Honda 8... but that was at a very modest throttle and speed. Nice for sightseeing, but not exactly an exciting wind-in-your-face thrill ride.

I've owned motor vehicles that don't get 20 MPG...
